Tyre Industry has moved in lock-step with the Auto Industry in India. We have been able to create state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, invest a lot in R&D and scale up our manufacturing as the Auto Industry has grown as well.
Tyre Industry has been serving the country well. Almost all the requirements of the OE segment are being serviced by the Indian Tyre Industry. The R&D expenditure of the industry has been going up. Brand India has been growing.
Tyre Industry ranks as one of the important industries in the country. Somehow the industry has been affected by image issues. The perception is improving now. We need to communicate more with the stakeholders and this is what ATMA Convention attempts to do.
The world is recognising Indian Tyre Industry and its manufacturing success. We have been able to showcase our strengths all across the world. We are making superior products which are finding greater acceptance in markets such as Europe and America. And that’s a proud moment for ATMA.
