The 5th ATMA Conclave 2025 convened senior leaders from government, automobile OEMs, tyre manufacturers, sustainability experts and global consultants to deliberate on the transformation pathways required to build a globally competitive, technologically advanced and self-reliant Auto–Tyre ecosystem aligned with India’s Viksit Bharat 2047 vision. Across 7 curated sessions the Conclave emphasised innovation, collaboration, competitiveness, sustainability and future-readiness.
In his welcome remarks, Mr. Anshuman Singhania, Past Chairman, ATMA & MD, JK Tyre & Industries Ltd. set the tone by positioning the Conclave as a platform to align the Auto–Tyre value chain with national aspirations for Viksit Bharat 2047. He emphasised the need for deeper collaboration between OEMs and tyre manufacturers to address emerging challenges around EVs, safety, digitalisation and supply chain resilience.
Mr. Kavan Mukhtyar, Partner & Leader – Automotive, PwC India presented the strategic imperatives for the tyre industry’s 2047 aspirations: technology leadership, export momentum, sustainability integration, digital operations and deeper OEM–supplier synergies as outlined in ATMA-PwC Report.
In his keynote Address, Dr. Raghupati Singhania, Member, ATMA Managing Committee & CMD, JK Tyre & Industries Ltd. reflected on the tremendous progress of India’s automotive sector and its emerging global competitiveness. He underscored India’s opportunity to become a global manufacturing hub through quality excellence, investments in R&D and value chain localisation.
Guest of Honour Ms Nidhi Kesarwani, IAS, Joint Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Govt. of India appreciated ATMA’s role in building quality, compliance and manufacturing excellence across the tyre value chain.She underlined DPIIT’s commitment to strengthening the policy environment—including Quality Control Orders (QCOs), logistics efficiency and ease of doing business. She emphasised the importance of structured industry feedback for strengthening standards, reducing import dependency and driving global competitiveness.
Chief Guest Mr. Vinod Aggarwal, Past President, SIAM & MD & CEO, VE Commercial Vehicles said auto sector is at an inflection point, transitioning simultaneously across electrification, sustainability, safety and digitalisation.He emphasised the importance of a strong domestic supplier ecosystem—especially tyres—for India to strengthen its global competitiveness. He called for a harmonised roadmap between OEMs, component makers and policymakers. Summing Up Mr. Rajat Nangia, Convener, ATMA IPEA Group & EVP – Marketing, MRF Ltd. reiterated the need for cohesive industry action and cross-sector collaboration based on insights from the keynote messages.
