ATMA Chairman Mr Satish Sharma at inauguration of Tyrexpo

Delivering the keynote address at Tyrexpo India at Chennai, Mr Satish Sharma Chairman ATMA said, the Government wants the tyre industry to focus on the North-East region in order to develop more rubber producing zones. An ATMA team is studying the rubber ecosystem in the region.
Speaking on the vexed issue of natural rubber quality, Mr Sharma said ATMA and the Rubber Board will define the quality standards that tyre manufacturers will need in the mid and long term. The move by tyre manufacturers has been welcomed by both Rubber Board and rubber growers.
