ATMA Pavilion on tyre safety emerged as a major centre of attraction for the delegates attending the second IRCOBI ASIA 2018 conference which was held from April 25-27, 2018 at the L&T Leadership Development Academy in Lonavala, Maharashtra. The conference aimed to provide fundamental knowledge and basic research to help Asian countries with various road safety issues.
Besides posters displaying tyre safety aspects and distribution of designed booklets, what drew the delegates to the ATMA pavilion in large numbers was an interestingly designed tyre safety quiz “How Tyresmart you are?” played on specially created tyre safety app.
The IRCOBI (International Research Council on the Biomechanics of Injury) council has created the biennial IRCOBI Asia conference to encourage a scientific approach in understanding safety issues, adopting injury research and promoting knowledge sharing, especially amongst the younger generation of engineers, students and academicians.

The event was conducted in association with MoRTH (Ministry of Road Transport and Highways), Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine (AAAM), RASSI (Road Accident Sampling System India)and Save Life foundation.
